I would say dork is not used correctly here. Dork, to my knowledge, refers to one's abilities to function in a social situation. My estimation is that a geek would be most inclined to care about such matters but that it takes an amount of dorkness to display this openly.
I'm all three and not a little, I might add. The geek part, however, could be called drive-by or hit-and-run geekery. For a short period of time, say a week to a few months, I go very deep into a topic or hobby, knowing way too much about it, and leave it just as sudden.
